Ah, the smell of grinder in the morning

At long last demolition work has begun at the old facility.

On Saturday, March 8th, Chris Dennison and Steve Bell began the demolition, removing the drywall and framing on the front of the room in the back of the warehouse.  Most importantly, the carefully took down the garage doors that were in hoth walls of that room.

Anyone want to buy a lightly used garage door or two?  Seriously...we're looking to sell these.

On Sunday, March 9 work continued. A small group of members led by our construction expert, David Michael of Mike Kinder and Sons (and the Sunday night league), compeleted the demolition of the back room (excluding the wall that we will re-usej.  Additionally the pegboards on both side walls was removed.

Participating were Andrew Nottingham, Jeff Bockelman, Adam Vetter, Karen Goss, Matt Gotsch, Craig Fischer and Preston Short.

David and Matt worked from the lift knocking down drywall and then using the grinder to cut the studs.

The rest of the volunteers hauled stuff to the dumpster and pulled the pegboard down from the wall.

An exciting start to the FWCC 3.0 Journey!
